How can I stay mentally fit?

“Physical fitness starts with Mental fitness.” And this fitness is and should be the most important for all of us.
Over one sixth of the worlds population suffer from one or the other mental issues.
Be it genetically acquired disorder or issues like anxiety and depression or any other, all are of equal concern.
Brain diseases affect us all.So, the question “How can I stay mentally fit?” Is worth giving a thought.

We look for questions like ‘How can I stay fit.?’ Or ‘How can we maintain a good health?’. We think about a lot of our body parts. But, how many of us ever looked upon things like”How can I stay mentally fit?.” before its needed?

Mental disorders lead to physical issues.So, there is nothing like healthy if you are not mentally fit. There is no question that can lead you to a healthy life. If, the question “How can i stay mentally fit.?” doesn’t bother you.

Depression is the second leading medical cause of disability globally. People suffering from depression have higher risk of early deaths. And can lead to breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer combined.


Eat healthy

Well eating healthy is the most obvious thing you can do to stay healthy.

Omega 3 fatty acids are good for brain health.
Some amazing sources of omega-3. fatty acids are salmon, herring, sardines, and anchovies. Also, pasture-raised meats and eggs, flaxseeds and walnuts.

Include protein in your diet. Some excellent sources of proteins are meat, eggs, dairy, beans, and legumes.

Avoid sugars and get high on vitamin B and C. Have anti oxidant rich food.

Exercise your brain and body:

Have a good sleep:

It is important to have a good sleep of seven to nine hours a day.
It improves health, memory and mood.

Having a habit of regular sleeping and waking times. Avoiding light before bed time can help to ensure a healthful sleep.

Try to avoid the thought that might keep you awake.


Meditation is a great way to control stress and anxiety.

Deep and concentrated breathing can help you a lot to maintain a fit brain.
