Baked/ Dry roasted Chickpeas

Craving for some popcorn? Here’s something you can have instead. The recipe gives you a crunchy, tasty, and healthy high protein snack.

What do you need? 

A cup chickpeas (100 grams)
Half a teaspoon of salt
Half a teaspoon of chili pepper Or any seasoning 
Only these 3 ingredients

How to make it? 

  1. Partially boil a cup of chickpeas. 
  2. Spread them into a tray and bake or dry roast the chickpeas until they are crispy. 
  3. Add half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of chili pepper or seasoning of your choice. 
  4. Mix well and put it into a bowl.

Your healthy snack is ready! 1 cup of chickpeas alone has 19 grams of protein. It is something you can have post-breakfast or as an evening snack.

Banana Bites

Well, this is one of my favorite high protein snacks. It looks and tastes great. 

What do you need? 

A large banana
5-7 frozen strawberries
Half a cup of yogurt
Chia seeds
Basic one you can add your homemade protein powder as well

How to make it? 

  1. Slice the/ banana into small pieces. 
  2. Microwave the strawberries for 15 seconds or heat them in a double boiler. 
  3. Mash the strawberries into a puree and add half a cup yogurt, and mix. 
  4. Coat the banana slices in the mixture, top it with some chia seeds and freeze. 

A delicious, high protein snack is ready. The recipe requires pre-preparation. So, if you had less for lunch, and you know- you would feel hungry before dinner, you can make and store it. 

You can also have it just like that without freezing. Grab a fork and use the mixture as a dip. 

Strawberries are tasty and have around 0.5 grams of protein in 5-6 berries. A large banana amounts to 1.5 grams of protein and half a cup of yogurt has around 3 grams of protein.

Oats and Peanut butter balls

Cookie dough is everyone’s favorite these days. How about trying a healthy one? It is one of the most popular high protein snacks. 

What do you need?

Half a cup of Peanut butter (100 grams)
A cup of old fashioned oats
Half a tablespoon of honey
1/2 cup of choco chips
Half a cup of flax seeds
Tasty one

 How to make it?

  1. Mix peanut butter and honey in a bowl. 
  2. Add oats, choco chips, and flax seeds to it. 
  3. Mix it well and make balls with hands. 
  4. Freeze your high protein snack and have a ball whenever you like. 

You can store it up to a week. Half a cup of peanut butter (100 grams) alone has 25 grams of protein. A cup of oats has around 6 grams of protein and half a cup of flax seeds have around 9 grams of protein. Oats are also among the healthiest foods on the planet. 

So, the recipe is amongst the healthiest high protein snacks, as well.

Mug Egg

Eggs are the first food that comes to your mind when we talk about protein. It is one of the easiest high protein snacks. 

What do you need?

Two eggs
A mug
Oil spray
Salt and Spices

How to make it?

  1. Spray a mug with oil spray and add two eggs to it. 
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds. 
  3. Take out and give it a mix. 
  4. Microwave again for 15 seconds. 
  5. Take out, add salt, spices, and your choice seasoning and mix. 
  6. Microwave for the last time for 10 seconds. 

It is also called the “new” way to scramble eggs.

Two large scrambled eggs have around 12 grams of protein. So, it is a great snacking choice.

Fruit and Nut Yogurt

This is surely one of the easiest and quickest high protein snacks. 

What do you need?

A cup of greek yogurt
Fruits and berries of your choice ( strawberry, blueberry, banana)
Nuts of your choice (almonds and cashew)
Half a tablespoon of chia seeds
Last one !

 How to make it?

  1. Grab a big bowl, put one cup of greek yogurt into it. 
  2. Chop the high protein fruits, add some crushed nuts. 
  3. Mix well and top it with some chia seeds.
